Jim's Background
Jim Fowler is a singer, songwriter and teacher living in Davis, California.
He earned a B.A. in music in 1976 from Sonoma State College and is currently a member of West Coast Songwriters Association. He has received awards for performance and composition and his songs have had airtime on California radio stations as well as NPR.
He has a unique talent for capturing the essence of a person’s life in a song so that others may know that person through his music. His album ‘People and Places’ is a collection of songs inspired by significant people and events in his life.
His music can be characterized as folk/rock with a twist of classical and a slice of country.
